In the afternoon we return to Clanwilliam to visit the Ramskop Gardens for a display of regional plants and lovely vistas over the Clanwilliam dam before heading off to Vanrhynsdorp where we will overnight.

Once back in Vanrhynsdorp we visit the succulent nursery where we will have our packed lunches before driving through the Maskam region and over the scenic Gifberg Pass to our next overnight stop at the Gifberg Holiday Farm.
At the farm we will be met by yet another local specialist guide who will take us on a 2-hour interpretative afternoon hike.  Tonight our hosts will treat us to a braai for dinner and our guide will keep us entertained with fascinating “kontrei stories” and tales about ancient peoples and southern stars.
