Your guide will meet you at the airport. Transfer to the guesthouse in Stellenbosch. Good news, no packing every evening – we will be staying in one guesthouse all the time. You will love the hospitality and beauty of our guesthouses in Stellenbosch. Dinner at the Wijnhuis, in Stellenbosch.
We are going to enjoy our first day out in Cape Town. Table Mountain is a “Main Dish on our Menu”. We enjoy a drive through the city of Cape Town, visit the Castle, drive through the Bo-Kaap and enjoy the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden.

We spend the afternoon in the Waterfront of Cape Town – relax and do a bit of shopping. 19:00 Sundowner and dinner at the Baia Seafood Restaurant, overlooking the Waterfront. Approximately 21:30 we depart for Stellenbosch.
09:30 Depart from the guesthouse – short visit to “Oom Samie” and then on to Waterford Estate to enjoy the beauty of this well known vineyard as well as a chocolate and wine tasting. Our second vineyard today is a rather small but special vineyard: Petrus Place and its Merlot is a fairy tale come true for Luca and Ingrid Bein. We enjoy a walk through the vineyard, a cellar tour and a small lunch in the cellar. Certainly a highlight of our tour!
After lunch we depart for Franschhoek to enjoy a wine tasting on the Cabrière Estate. Those who prefer shopping and strolling down the main street of Franschhoek, this is just the time to do so.
We will enjoy our Sundowner and dinner on the spectacular farm Grande Provence – combined with art, beauty and good food.
Back to Stellenbosch at approx. 21:30
09:30 Departure - visit the wine farm Asara. We enjoy the good wines, the spectacular views and end our wine tasting with a white Port. Our second vineyard will be the wine farm Ernie Els/Engelbrecht with a cellar tour and lunch on the farm. This a morning of good wines and the most spectacular views of the Stellenbosch area.
Afternoon at leisure – guide and driver on duty to assist the guests with special requests.
18:30 Departure from the guesthouse. We are going to enjoy a sundowner and dinner at the Bosmanns Restaurant, Grand Roche in Paarl. This will be one of the highlights of your tour. Dress code: casual/smart.
09:00 Depart from guesthouse – N2 to Hout Bay. Our first adventure will be a boat trip to Duiker Island, and island full of cape seals. This is a boat trip with spectacular views – we might even spot some dolphins or a whale!
We continue our journey via the well-known and dramatic Chapman’s Peak drive and off to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Our lunch will be either at Cape Point or at the Black Marlin Restaurant, overlooking the ocean.
In the afternoon, on our return journey, we will visit the Penguine colony at Boulders Beach. We should be back in Stellenbosch by 18:00.
19:45 Depart to enjoy sundowner and dinner at Tokara Restaurant – one of our top restaurants in the Stellenbosch region.
09:30 Departure. This morning we will visit the wine farms Glen Carlou and Seidelberg.
Glen Carlou is part of the Hess Group and has been managed by the Hess family of Switzerland. Donald Hess not only loves wines, but is also the proud owner of private art galleries – the Hess Collection reflect Donald Hess’ belief in the power of contemporary art to move and influence our views, actions and lives. A visit full of surprises…..
Then on to Seidelberg: “a little bit of heaven in the winelands” - with a cellar tour and some fine wine tasting. Before we sit down to enjoy a traditional Cape meal at De Leuwen Jagt restaurant, we visit and enjoy the beauty of the Venetian-style glass blowing studio.
Depart for Stellenbosch at approx. 15:00 Afternoon at leisure.
Dinner at the Terroir Restaurant, just outside Stellenbosch on the Kleine Zalze Estate.
This is a day filled with beautiful scenery, good wines and one again good food. We travel via Gordons Bay, a spectacular coastal road, to Hermanus. Our wine tastings will be on the wine farms Bouchard Finlayson and Hamilton Russel in the “Hemel en Aarde” – heaven and earth valley.
On to Hermanus to spot some whales and enjoy lunch overlooking the Walker Bay. Between the months of July and December, we have the Southern Right Wales visiting our shores. Not to be missed – whale watching is an experience of your life!
16:00 Depart back to Stellenbosch via the N2. We should be back in Stelelnbosch by 18:00
Dinner in town – own arrangements, or as a group.
We are going to enjoy our last day and lunch on the beautiful and second oldest wine farm in South Africa: Vergelegen. On our menu we have: a cellar tour with the most spectacular views of the Helderberg area, tasting of some fine wines, visit an historical Cape Dutch house and lunch at the Lady Phillips Restaurant.
By 15:00 we return to Stellenbosch. Afternoon at leisure to pack and to relax.
Our dinner will be a surprise in the guesthouse.
