Highlights of this tour:
Day 1:
- Depart from Stellenbosch/Cape Town/Airport
- Travel R44 with a tea stop in Porterville
- Citrusdal and off to the Rooibos Tea Farm Elandsberg
- Lunch on the farm, weather pmeritted:lunch in a cave! Visit to the rooibos tea factory
- Sleep Melkboomsdrift – farm accommodation outside Vredendal
Day 2:
- We enjoy the beauty of the Knersvlakte
- Garies – the farm stall for a cup of tea
- Visit Skilpad/Namaqua National Park – a highlight of the tour!
- Back to Melkboomsdrift with dinner on the farm
Day 3:
- Early birds... travel and enjoy the beauty of the Van Rhyns Pass to Niewoudtville
- Visit the quiver tree forest
- Enjoy a cup of tea at the beautiful sandstone NG Kerk, Niewoudtville
- Visit the flower farms Matjiesfontein and, if in full bloom Biekoes
- Back to Melkboomsdrift – dinner on the farm
Day 4:
- Early birds! We travel via Clanwilliam, the Pakhuis Pass down into the Biedouw Valley
- Clanwilliam – enjoy the Clanwilliam Flower show in the historical NG Kerk
- Late lunch in Clanwilliam
- ...all the way back to Cape Town/Stellenbosch
